About
Saint Paul is a Breton crêperie from the people behind the Colette restaurant. There, fine dining; here, simplicity — a galette, a cider and good coffee.
It started with something Bratislava was missing: an honest Breton galette made from buckwheat, with a glass of cider beside it. Nothing inflated — just good produce and a craft cooked on the griddle in front of you.
We are the sister venue to the Colette restaurant. From Colette we take the standards for produce and detail; from Brittany, the lightness and the urge to share. We mix the batter by hand, cook our salted caramel in-house, and choose cider from the Sorre family cidery.
The galette is also naturally gluten-free — which makes us a place coeliacs can simply walk into, without having to ask for a favour.
In Brittany the galette is everyday food: there is a crêperie on every corner, and a savoury galette calls for a glass of dry cider, not wine. That matter-of-factness is what we try to bring to Bratislava — no folklore, just the way it is done between Rennes and Saint-Malo.
You will find us on the first floor of Fresh Market on Rožňavská. At lunch we cook a daily menu; in the afternoon we run as a café with crêpes and cider. No reservations — just come in.
